Laboratory Response Network
The Laboratory Response Network (LRN) is the laboratory emergency response system for biological, chemical, and radioactive threats, as well as other public emergencies like natural disasters.
It is a group of local, state, and federal public health, clinical, food testing, veterinary, and environmental testing labs that work together to respond quickly and effectively to biological and chemical terrorism, new infectious diseases, and other public health emergencies.
AptVet supports the LRN through training, quality improvement programs, surge capacity and exercise planning, the establishment of policies, and the cultivation of relationships.
